In 2020 Intrepid Engineers was subcontracted on the $7,629,000 bridge widening job for SR 376 over SR 885. Intrepid Engineers was responsible for the bridge jacking plan to replace the bearings of the current structure. This project, like any other urban construction job, came with its fair share of challenges. Being a main artery into Pittsburgh, the roadway was required to remain partially open to traffic through multiple traffic control phases. Flexibility and dedication to efficient timely solutions helped to keep the project constantly moving forward. Intrepid also provided the demolition plans, steel girder, pre-cast deck panel, pre-cast substructure, and moment slab erection plans, welding procedures, and various structural analyses.
